BIO:

In 2009, the first birth Adia witnessed was the birth of her cousin. The love and care that was offered to her laboring aunt ignited the call to this revered work. Since then, Adia has been passionate about offering support to families in hopes that when they look back on their perinatal period they can feel educated, accomplished in self, held, and resolved. 

Adia completed her community birth doula training through Mamatoto Village. She has experience working with families including: VBAC, cesarean, home birth, single parents, high-risk pregnancies, and aims to create a space where families of all types and sizes are welcome. Adia holds a Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, Adult and Infant First Aid/CPR/AED certification, and Safe Sleep training. Currently, Adia is completing her Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (CBS) certification on the pathway to acquiring her IBCLC.

What to expect:

Calm, compassionate, and caring support. The perinatal period is a unique experience deserving of non-judgmental space to exist. Adia may ask you questions that will help you to reflect on and shape what your goals are during this time. Making sure to keep your wishes at the forefront of your care, Adia will help uphold your perinatal intentions in hopes that they blossom.
