BIO:

Rose is a native of Kenya but currently resides in Washington DC.

She has over 20 years of experience working with mothers, newborns, and families both in Kenya and the greater DC area. The love and satisfaction she receives from working with children and new parents motivated her to pursue a career as a postpartum doula.

In 2018, she became a DONA International certified postpartum doula. She found her career to be rewarding and has since become a certified breastfeeding educator and childbirth educator through Birth Art International.

Additionally, Rose holds an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Northern Virginia Community College. As a postpartum doula, her role is to provide education, non-judgmental support, and companionship.

Rose offers evidence-based information on infant feeding, newborn care, infant soothing, emotional and physical recovery from birth, coping skills for new parents, family adjustment, meal and snack preparation, and light household tasks.

Fun Facts:

Rose’s favorite’s in 3’s: spending time with friends and family, outdoors and traveling. Cooking, coffee, and tea. Watching documentaries on Netflix, hiking, and running.
