Helps You Heal.

Placenta encapsulation is the act of preparing placenta into a powder, then placing the powder into capsules for the woman to consume. Traditional Chinese Medicine. or TCM, is the method of preparing the placenta by steaming it with slices of ginger, lemon and sometimes hot pepper before dehydrating and finally putting the placenta into capsules. Using this method of encapsulation is believed to bring healing and warmth back to the woman.

How Does It Work?

There are 3 main hormones and chemicals contained in the placenta that help the mother postpartum:

Oxytocin: helps bonding, pain reliever, and helps with milk ejection and supply
HPL (Human Placenta Lactogen): promotes the production of prolactin in the mother
POEF (Placenta Opioid Enhancing Factor): Pain reliever

What Are The Benefits?

One of the main benefits of eating placenta  is it helps to lessen the risk of  ‘baby blues’ and postpartum depression . It replenishes iron, lends a consistent flow of oxytocin, and provides the HPL hormone to help establish an early and healthy milk supply. It also stabilizes ever changing hormones post birth, replenishes your B vitamins and energy lost during birthing, protects from infection and bleeding due to retained placenta tissue or membranes, and offers natural pain relief.
